Richmond Highland Games

This weekend will be my last game of the 08' season. I have thrown in Richmond as a pro in 1997 and they took a picture of me topless throwing the Caber and used it the following year as a poster for the games! Where are my royalties???? ha ha.
I am throwing in Masters division this year and am feeling really good and strong. Hope everyone can come out and watch, I promise to put on a good show!!!
I will start my off season training next week for the 09' season. I am going to get bigger and stronger then ever and be ready to win the 09' Masters World Championships in Scotland- Hell yes!

Stay tuned for my next blog on "the quest for greatness- World Champion"

Anne Arundel HG results

Man what a beautiful day it was. I had my Dad there and some really close friends on hand to witness a great performance. My belief is that people who go to watch a sporting event go to see a show, yea that's right a show, a show of a great performances and that i did.

I won 3 golds and 4 silver medals and won 2nd place overall behind the #1 ranked master thrower in North America Steve Pucinella. He narrowly beat me by 1 point.
I had 4 personal records on the day!
I am now ranked 3rd in North America after that game.

Celtic Travels

This weekend brings me to Anne Arundel, MD for the Scottish Highland games. This is my 7th games of this year and I am in prime form. My goal for this weekend is to hit 50+ and 70+ in the heavy weight throws. If i can do this i have a good chance at beating my rival big Steve Pulcinella. Steve and I have been competing together since 94' with he getting the better of me. Its revenge time!!!
I am driving up to NJ on Thurs. before the games to see my folks, rest and eat like hell on Fri., then Dad and I will drive down to MD on Sat. for the comp. I always like having friends and family come out and watch the games, it really pumps me up!
I will report when the game is over!
